Ikaria is a large island. Choose your accommodations based on where you want to be on the island. Our recommendations below are also based on location and other helpful categories.
No two rooms on Ikaria are the same! From basic rooms to studios with kitchenettes, mountain villas and luxury pools, Ikaria now has many options for any budget.
Summers are busy! Hotels and rooms book up fast in the summer. Booking in advance is now highly recommended.

The Northwestern Side of Ikaria
Great for visiting Armenistis, Raches, Nas, and popular beaches.
Erofili BeachHotel
Erofili Beach Hotel (Armenistis). This hotel has a perfect location right between the center area of Armenistis and Livadi beach. It has an on-sight spa and gorgeous pool overlooking the sea. This hotel is a top pick on Ikaria, so book early for availability.
Cavos Bay Hotel and Studios. (Armenistis). This hotel offers refinement and a feel of luxury, while also staying true to Ikaria’s simplistic nature. The breakfast buffet overlooking the sea and pool can start every day perfectly. This hotel is a top pick on Ikaria, so book early for availability.
Armenistis View Studios (Armenistis). These family run studios with small kitchenettes are a fantastic find. Word has gotten out about these, so they book up fast in the summer months.
The Middle of Ikaria
Great for visiting Evdilos (port), Arethousa, Karavostamo, Akamatra and Monokampi villages.
Karras Star
Karras Star (close to The EGG retreat and yoga center). This is a popular hotel for yoga travelers who want to spend a lot of time at the EGG.
Atheras (Evdilos). A great option for staying in Ikaria’s bustling Evdilos port.
Casa Sophia (Karavostamo). Stay in this area of the island for wonderful hikes, visits to Arethousa and middle island villages.
Kerame Studios (between Evidlos and Karavostamo). A great oasis in the middle of the island with a high pool with the mountains as its backdrop (see photo above).
Ikaria’s Southern coastline
Great for visiting Ikaria’s famous Seychelles Beach, Magganitis, Agios Kyrikos (port), and Therma hot springs. Also great for catching the ferry at Agio Kyrikos port.
Peskesi Ikaria
Peskeski Ikaria (Agios Kyrikos). These apartments are a great find, right in Ikaria’s capital village. If you find one available you will be lucky!
Pyrgos Traditional Village (Agios Kyrikos). Higher up in the village, this place is its own unique destination.
Nefeli Hotel (Therma). A comfortable hotel that provides a lovely standard of comfort.
Plumeria Flowery (Therma). This is a special find in this village known for its healing open sea thermal hot springs. A scuba diving center also operates in Therma!
Near the Airport
Great for visiting Faros(Fanari) Village, Drakano Tower, and gorgeous Beaches on Ikaria’s Eastern Tip.
Drakano Rooms (close to Faros / Fanari). This is one of our favorite places to stay! True to Ikaria nature and simplistic hospitality. There are limited rooms so book fast!
Evon’s Room (Faros / Fanari.) A short walk to the beach and a warm welcome by the hotel’s host will likely entice you to come back again next year!
Anemoesaa Luxury Villas (kerame). One of the luxury accommodations that have beautifully been designed on Ikaria in recent years.
Anefanti Villas. Another wonderful option, located 1.9 km from airport, close to the beach.
Retreat into the mountains!
Olivia Villas
Olivia Villas (Ag. Polykarpos, below Rahes). Beautiful guest houses nestled in Ikaria’s mountainous region, and close to bustling summer villages.
