Who we are

Charlene Caprio

Charlene lived in a mountain village on Ikaria and loves to return each year to explore Ikaria’s villages and footpaths and to immerse herself in Ikaria’s unique local culture. She continues to be surprised at how there seems to be endless small villages and hidden wonders to explore.

She has worked on various environmental conservation projects in Greece and especially loves to explore nature and dive deep into the history and culture of a particular location. She loves to relax and laugh with friends and indulge in Greece’s amazing local foods and wines. Charlene studied ancient Greek and archeology in Greece and has written about cultural property law. She also has a J.D. from Columbia University and a M.A. From Yale University.

Lefteris Tsouris

A geographer and cartographer who lives in Greece and Sweden, Lefteris makes various maps for the world but especially mountain maps for Greece.

As a cartographer he walks, stops, meets, listens and breathes in the details of the places that he maps. He is the founder of “Geopsis” www.geopsis.com  and capable of creating maps for any location in the world. Lefteris enjoys mountaineering, hiking and gardening.
